Emerging Scottish alt-pop artist Dylan Fraser has revealed his emotive new track “Losing Sleep”, which will be anchored to his already-released debut EP, The Storm. Released in October, the EP has already amassed over 1.6 million streams. The track comes accompanied by a visualizer starring Fraser. Watch it now below.
Of the new track, 18-year-old Fraser shares, “Losing Sleep finds me reminiscing about being a child; missing being so carefree and having no stress or worries. When you’re young, you are so optimistic and you’re not really aware of any negativity. Growing up can be confusing and the world isn’t this big amazing place that sometimes it’s made out to be – that was hard to wrap my head around.”
Fraser has made waves over the past few months following a string of debut track drops – ‘Vipers,’ ‘Face Tattoo,’ ‘I Do These Things For Me,’ and ‘The Storm’ – culminating in the release of his first-ever EP, ‘The Storm’ in October; a five-track collection showcasing Dylan’s cross-genre ability and magnetic voice. To accompany the EP, Dylan recently unveiled conceptual live performance videos for each of the tracks, which you can view on his official YouTube channel.
The Bathgate native is showing huge promise for the year ahead, following a host of early endorsements across press and radio (Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and Radio 1’s Jack Saunders). Perhaps most notably, his debut track “Vipers” features prominently on the all-new FIFA 21 Official Soundtrack.
