Groningen-based producer Posij has released his latest track, “Fifteen Minutes (ft. Tzar)” out now on bitbird. The driving rhythm, pulsating melodies, and sultry hook sung by Tzar are perfectly crafted to evoke not only a craving for human connection but also more music from Posij immediately.
In the artist’s own words, “‘Fifteen Minutes’ is about being there for each other. Even if you’re apart, [it’s important to] give each other some time to be together.” From a production standpoint, Posij “wanted to make a vibey electro song inspired by Moderat, with lots of sounds that are technically difficult to produce, but without it being difficult to listen to.” He did just that.
While always trying something new, and refreshingly never conforming to one genre, one thing is constant in Posij’s music, and that’s his aspiration to move away from clichés. He casts aside the traditional drum loops and bass noises that are so often overused in electronic music and creates a space of his own with custom sounds. It’s impressive to hear him achieve his goals with “Fifteen Minutes,” delivering an unforgettable track that’s beautiful and technical all in one.
This new track follows Posij’s successful Noisia remix on Deadmau5’s mau5trap imprint, and releases on his fellow Dutchmen’s record labels, Division & VISION. Since then he’s also put out music on Chase & Status’ MTA Records, Critical Music, Shogun, Neosignal and Hospital. Now we share with you his triumph that is “Fifteen Minutes (ft. Tzar)” via bitbird.
