Today, 14-year-old Argentine-American artist Pilar Victoria has shared her brand new song “Flustered Snowflakes.” With her ethereal vocals at the forefront, the track is filled with lush strings that beautifully capture the serenity of the winter season. “Flustered Snowflakes” marks the latest taste from Pilar’s forthcoming debut EP, arriving early 2021 via Platoon. Watch the video now below.
“‘Flustered Snowflakes’ is a song I wrote last year during the winter time,” says Pilar. “I’ve always liked the holiday season and thought a snow globe was a cool concept for a song, so I based my inspiration off of that!”
Last month, Pilar shared her new single, “I Left A Party For You.” The song quickly garnered attention from the likes of Refinery29, DORK, Atwood Magazine and Billboard who raved “Pilar Victoria is only 14 years old, and she’s already making more accomplished songs than most indie bands achieve in their lifetimes.” In addition to being spun by Zane Lowe on his Apple Music 1 radio show, “I Left A Party For You” has been featured on numerous prominent playlists such as Apple Music’s New Music Daily, Spotify’s Fresh Finds, NPR’s New Music Friday and more.
Pilar Victoria is far from your average 14-year-old. She started to write her own songs when she was 12 and taught herself to play the ukulele, guitar and the piano in between school and learning to skateboard. Last year, she self-released a handful of beautifully crafted songs, written in her bedroom in Houston, Texas and caught the world’s attention all by herself. Following the releases of “Seaside Romantics” and “Space Song,” she’s accumulated over 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone.
