Louisiana pop/alternative rock act Hunter deBlanc has partnered with Hellogoodbye for new single “Do What Feels Right”. Glazed in synth pop majesty, “Do What Feels Right” is out now, streaming via YouTube, Apple Music and Spotify. Listen to it now below.
Since 2013, Hunter deBlanc has been crafting his own brand of alternative pop; utilizing synth-pop hooks a la CHVRCHES and The 1975, blended with the alternative rock vibes of Fall Out Boy and the intricate indie injections of Tame Impala. What started out as a piano-heavy pop-rock project has evolved into a more refined brand of alternative pop, with a mesmerizing synth that intertwines with deBlanc’s intricate and uplifting vocal delivery.
Drawing on influence from his international touring and travels, 2017’s Daydreaming record proved to be a breakout release from deBlanc, with 2018 follow-up singles “Tides” and “Sydney” taking his fan base international and – unsurprisingly – scoring the young Louisiana native a swathe of Australian fans in the process.
With press support from international tastemaker publications such as Huff Post, Alternative Press and Idobi Radio, deBlanc’s fan base has spread further, singles “That’s Not Me” & “Take Me Home”, preceding the release of the gloriously uplifting new track, which caught the attention of Hellogoodbye’s Forrest Kline, who lends his pop-rock expertise to the new release.
