Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer Tilian has shared the psychedelic visual for his new single, “Dose,” out now via Rise Records. “Dose” is the latest release from his alt-pop project.

The single gives a look inside a tumultuous relationship that explores the depths someone will go to keep a partner by their side. The song itself is an epic expression of hard-bodied guitar-pop, mixing ominous, driving synths and prog-heavy bass lines with Tilian’s trademark layered vocals and vast range. Designed by Santiago Pagnotta, the visualizer matches the intense energy of the music and lyrics.

“We were planning on making a full music video to release with ‘Dose,’ but the pandemic had other plans,” Tilian shares about the video. “Though Santiago and I haven’t ever met yet, he managed to capture the feeling of ‘Dose’ in a way that I never imagined. It’s great to see the song inspire another artist to create something so visually captivating.”

“Dose” is the first offering since his last album The Skeptic in 2018, which debuted on the Billboard charts at #1 Alternative New Artist, #2 Top New Artists, and #5 Alternative. To date, the project has garnered over 40M global streams and two music videos with over 1M views each, proving the excitement and potential for the burgeoning alt-pop artist. More recently, he collaborated with Marigolds+Monsters and Travis Barker on the exciting single “Falling out of Rhythm.”

“Dose” was the first thing I dove into after touring was cancelled earlier this year.” says Tilian. “Though the initial rush of creativity hit like an avalanche, I spent a long time letting the song breathe and grow into what it is now—a piece I am truly proud of.”

Stay tuned for more new music to come from Tilian in 2021.
