Today, Southern California artist and producer LLusion has unveiled a brand-new single entitled “After The Tone” featuring UPSAHL. Listen to it now below.

On the new track and collab with UPSAHL, LLusion noted, “It was my first zoom studio session with another vocalist, let alone my first real studio session ever, working on a brand new song from scratch with another artist. I was super nervous, but excited. Luckily, I had the great sonic support from the talented Max Frost by my side, who already worked with UPSAHL in the past, so the ice was broken, and we were all just there to create and have fun. And from our computers in 3 different states at once, we made this banger of a song. The energy in that electronic room was perfectly in sync and everything came out organically, and I believe people will feel that when they press play. It is easily one of the songs I’m most proud of. I was already confident in the song, but that escalated even more once I showed it to my creative partner & wife Six, and she said, ‘This is it.’”

The track buzzes with the feedback of a dial tone as rising pop maverick UPSAHL sings a voicemail sendoff to an ex who just needs to quit calling ASAP. LLusion’s unpredictable bass-y beat-craft ebbs and flows with her vocals towards the clever and catchy chorus, “Leave a message after the tone, hit you back…or maybe I won’t.” Ultimately, “After The Tone” brings together two fellow pop disruptors on one genre-breaking bop.

It arrives on the heels of his 2021 mixtape, BUFFET. Ignited by “walk but in a garden” [feat. mxmtoon], the mixtape joins his already impressive catalogue and has reached 150 million global streams to date.
