Dream punk band Glacier Veins have announced their highly anticipated sophomore album Lunar Reflection, set to be released on March 11th via Equal Vision Records. Lunar Reflection serves as the follow up to 2020’s The World You Want to See, and sees the band turning inwards to gain a better sense of self. Fans can check out lead single and music video “Autonomy,” as well as pre-order the record, now at glacierveins.lnk.to/lunar.
“Lunar Reflection is an album about going inward to create a better understanding of oneself through reflecting on one’s relationships with other people and with the world that we live in,” shares vocalist/guitarist Malia Endres. “The Moon carries extensive symbolic meaning, and the journey through and connection with the depth of the Moon’s symbolism inspired the songs on the album and reflects the meaning of this album as a whole.”
She continues: “‘Autonomy’ is about creating a solid relationship with and having a solid understanding of oneself. I believe that trusting and loving ourselves is an important place to start when it comes to creating relationships with other people and putting ourselves out in the world in general. It allows us to set healthy boundaries and feel secure exploring the possibilities knowing that we always have a loving and understanding place to come back to, which is within oneself.”
Glacier Veins will be celebrating their new album with a month-long US tour this spring featuring support from Salt Creek and Ridgeway. Fans on the west coast and in the midwest can catch the band starting March 14th, with stops in Salt Lake City, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and more, and ending with a hometown show in Portland.
