Electronic rising artist, Tsu Nami, is back with another enchanting track, titled “Angel” featuring LA musician Dani King. This is the first single from her upcoming Ethereal EP, releasing on bitbird on February 24. Tsu Nami’s passionate audience across the globe has been curated through her supporting prominent artists as well as releasing an array of attention-grabbing music, highlighting her unique blend of melodic dance and pop sounds.
“Angel” is a release with a grittier twist and a new exploration from Tsu Nami’s work thus far. The song features bold drums and ARPs, which match the powerful vocals of Dani King. For Tsu Nami this project was driven by experimentation and it proved more than successful. “Angel was an experiment for me,” she shares, “…a way to push myself to create something heavier but still very much Tsu Nami. I’m so happy with how it turned out!” Her cinematic mind is brought to life in the project, with its vivid beats and enthusiastic feel.
As for Dani King, she wrote the lyrics to “Angel” surrounding the idea of having a bit of a wild personality but knowing someone loves exactly that. “I wrote the lyrics for this one and the concept of this song as very flippant and coy. The idea is ‘I’m crazy but you love me for it,’” she explains. This message reflects her upbeat and vibrant personality. After the lyrics were written, Tsu Nami turned the song into something she didn’t see coming, adding “she turned it into this super cool different version that I never could have envisioned. I love her style and the personal twist she put into this song.”
The track is a mix of grunge, EDM, and pop, paired with energetic vocals, invoking a bright yet nostalgic feel. It’s not one to miss, featuring two prosperous female artists on the electronic music scene.
Both artists are musicians to watch, with Dani King being signed to Cultiv8 Artists in LA, performing at numerous festivals, and working with an array of producers. She has also released with impressive label names such as NCS and Monstercat. When it comes to Tsu Nami, it’s no secret that she’s an artist who’s thriving, with her forthcoming EP, upcoming tour dates including supporting Jai Wolf and San Holo at Red Rocks, festival appearances at Beyond Wonderland and Buku, and being an all-around powerful artist on the bitbird roster.
