Mexican-Dominican Latin songstress Ambar Lucid has released her transcendent new single “Dead Leaves” alongside its ethereal, self-directed visuals that exude the track’s sensitive aura and vulnerability. “Dead Leaves” is an emotional, stripped-down offering from the 21-year-old singer/songwriter that delicately illustrates a hazy, melancholic warmth.
On the track, Ambar states, “Dead Leaves has a piece of my soul attached to it. Sometimes I feel as if I’m in my own little world thousands of miles away from everyone. I wrote this song with my favorite small acoustic guitar with the intention of transmuting my sadness into something beautiful.”
In 2021, Ambar was inducted into YouTube Music’s 2021 Class of Foundry as one of 27 global artists. Her appearance also made it on Buzzfeed’s 27 Reactions To “Elite” Season 4 That Are, Well, Elite saying, “A very deserved Ambar Lucid appreciation tweet for her angelic cameo.”
