NYC-bred Rebounder, the project of Dylan Chenfeld, has released an electric, synth-ridden track “Premium Fantasy.” With “Premium Fantasy,” Rebounder effortlessly plant themselves within decades of downtown tradition, modernizing the classic sound of 2000s NYC rock. To accompany the song, the band released a new music video parodying indoor cycling and the home fitness craze starring long-time friend and Dimepiece creator Brynn “Trill” Wallner as the class instructor and directed by Sundance award-winning director Ben Klein (The Exiles).
Born and raised in NYC, Dylan has been a fixture in the downtown music scene since he was a teenager. “Premium Fantasy” follows Rebounder’s 2021 track “Change Shapes” featuring Jesse Rutherford and earned praise from FADER, GQ, Pigeons & Planes, and Office Magazine.
Rebounder hasn’t even released their debut album yet and have already received widespread early critical praise and has an extensive touring history supporting shows for the likes of The Neighbourhood, Dayglow, Cautious Clay, and MUNA. Their single “Night Sports” was featured on Ezra Koenig’s Time Crisis and closed out an episode of Showtime’s Shameless.
