Chris Miles has teamed up with Lil Tracy for his latest single, “Nothing Feels The Same” via Boom.Records. The explosive single kicks off with what can best be described as a “midwest emo intro” and then picks up as Miles’ emphatic, melancholy vocals skate atop the impromptu drum shred. It finds Miles and Tracy unearthing an infectious melody with angst-ridden aplomb, enraged and numb from their failed toxic relationships.

Miles and Tracy deliver an emotionally charged and genre-blurring sonic palette full of antagonistic lyrics, calling it quits on love. Emphasized with Miles’ earworm hook and contrasted by Tracy’s soft tenor and fading verse, “I took a chance on you / something I cannot do / I got to hand it to you / left me broken like no one ever has”; a nu-metal breakdown beautifully caps the single.

“Nothing Feels The Same” is the second high profile collaboration for Chris Miles, following the Lil Xan assisted “Miss Me” which quadrupled Miles’ monthly listeners within three days of release and continues to gain more streams resulting in over 650K across DSPs. The genre-bending single showcases Miles’ continued evolution and versatility as he explores new sounds and packs them full of aching melodies and beats, running the gamut across genres from hyperpop, trap, to moody alt-rock.
