Machine Gun Kelly has made a return to his hip-hop roots with his new song, “ay!” featuring rap icon Lil Wayne. The all-star collaboration previews MGK’s highly anticipated sixth studio album, mainstream sellout, set for release on March 25, and comes as a free instant-gratification track for those who pre-order the project. Today’s new song release also aligns with the reveal of mainstream sellout’s cover artwork and its physical configurations. Pre-order the new album HERE.

“ay!” also launches with its official music video, a visually captivating clip with MGK and his backing crew cycling through a parade amount of costume changes that compliments his natural flair and rockstar lifestyle.

“ay!” had already received massive buzz ahead of its release after MGK performed a tease snippet of the song on his Feb. 24 appearance on CBS’ The Late Late Show With James Corden. In his set, he linked “ay!” in a medley with “maybe” and his current radio single, “emo girl,” a collab with WILLOW. The latter is continuing its scorching start, with over 30 million streams and racing into the top 25 of alternative radio.

If that weren’t enough, the cross-genre hitmaker carved out time in a bustling month for honor his fans with the release of his lockdown sessions EP. The project presents three fan-favorite viral tracks now available for the first time across all streaming services. Among them, the standout tune “roll the windows up,” (known before as “smoke and drive”) came with a brand new music video, in which MGK and his drummer, Rook, smoke in the car in a no-frills clip that captures the project’s homegrown vibe. Watch the full clip HERE.

In addition to his onslaught of new hit music, MGK has dominated the live space in the past month by performing on some of sports’ biggest stages. The superstar headlined the 2022 NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas, where delivered a scintillating halftime performance for hockey and rock enthusiasts, and in the lead-up to Super Bowl LVI, he and Halsey united for a blockbuster set for a Bud Light-sponsored show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
