Birmingham, Alabama punk trap duo Bad Neighbors have shared their genre-defying new song “ADMiT iT” via Boom.Records in partnership with Pure Sinners Ent. The duo, composed of Khaos and Rage, worked alongside multi-platinum producer Bugz Ronin and Cody Colacino, best known for their work with Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd, Yeat, and Young Thug. “ADMiT iT” produced by Cody Colacino finds Bad Neighbors embracing life’s vices by living their truth and foregoing what society thinks. The track is accompanied by an official music video directed by frequent collaborator Garrett Paul.
Speaking on the single, Bad Neighbors share, “ADMiT iT touches on the contradiction and overall judgment people put on addiction within society. We show the reality that everybody has something they can’t let go of whether it’s love, pain, likes, or drugs. It’s all a high that creates an addiction that people won’t admit to, and on a universal scale, we’re all on drugs. It’s an addiction so to speak that gets created just by living life.”
Renowned for bridging the gap between punk, rap and trap music, the duo speaks to a generation full of existential dread and angst given the current socio-political climate. Delivering commentary on society and speaking from their own lived experiences, Bad Neighbors music is tied together by a sense of anxiety, alienation, love, empowerment, heartbreak, and reflection that are so common to life in the 21st century especially for those that find themselves on society’s margins.
