Nashville based pop/rock band, Nox Holloway have shared their brand new song, “Draw The Line” today. Listen to the track now below.
About the song, the band (comprised of Bryce Vanhook and Parker Mathews) said, “‘Draw The Line’ is an ode to the ones that we can never seem to leave out of our lives, regardless of whether or not it’s in our best interest. We wanted the song to feel upbeat and jumpy, but the lyrics to be read as a perpetual struggle between what we desire and what’s good for us.”
Formed by two college friends, Bryce Vanhook and Parker Mathews, during their senior year, the duo blend their musical talents and backgrounds. Although their creative process largely took place while they were in different physical places, Nox Holloway found their musical connection was a filling of the gaps.
Parker Mathews is a producer whose musical experience started with playing drums and, like any true percussionist, evolved into pianos and keys with a range spanning 10 instruments. Bryce Vanhook is a songwriter, lyricist, and vocalist who is as likely to find inspiration strumming his ukulele, as he is in the flow of hip hop by his idols. They found that together they had all the skills they needed to write the kind of songs that previously only existed in their imaginations. The two-piece turned their focus full-time to their music and established themselves as Nox Holloway, a name that is a special tribute to time lost elsewhere. It’s a combination of the Latin word for ‘night’ and the street in London where Bryce lived and found inspiration.
