Scotland-born alt-pop artist, Dylan Fraser is back with his euphoric new track, “Apartment Complex on The Eastside” via Atlantic/Asylum Records. The song, which was co-written with long-time collaborator Jonah Summerfield and indie singer-songwriter Samia, comes alongside news of Dylan’s new EP, 2030 Revolution, out July 15th.
The track and its conceptual official video finds 20-year-old Dylan trapped in a throwaway world. “This song is about trying to appreciate life and what we have whilst we’re here,” he explains “Whilst the lyrics are quite dark, I feel the message is hopeful in a twisted way. I was clearly having an existential crisis at the time of writing but aren’t we all?”
Dylan’s upcoming third EP was produced by Summerfield alongside Rob Milton (Holly Humberstone). The project builds upon the theme of today’s track release, as the young Scot documents his journey of finding purpose, offering a fresh lens on the uncertainties we all face. The EP flows through synth-laden and industrial soundscapes – a genre-abounding musical style that has seen Dylan amass a swarm of acclaim since his initial breakthrough in 2020.
