Another Michael have released their catchy new single, “Water Pressure” today. The track, which can be heard now below, finds the band leaning into their cozy acoustic side, with vocalist/guitarist Michael Doherty and guitarist/keyboardist Alenni Davis weaving together some of the group’s most satisfying harmonies to date. Listen to it now below.
“Water Pressure” builds on the warm melodies and good naturing mood of the band’s debut full-length album, New Music and Big Pop, demonstrating that the young band are somehow still reaching for greater and greater songwriting heights.
Doherty discussed the new song, saying, “‘Water Pressure’ speaks to feeling optimistic, and taking a shower. It’s when you feel like things will start working in your favor, and you’re enjoying the company of others with the thought that things will be alright. It is a special feeling that sometimes will only come around once in every 100 days. Like, I’m staying at a random someone’s house in Lincoln, Nebraska and the shower has really good water pressure. I’m so happy to be here.”
