Budjerah has revealed the moody video for his latest single, “Get Down” from his second EP, Conversations, out now via Warner Music Australia. Watch the vibrant new video, directed by Tatjana Hamilton now below.
Of the video, Budjerah said, “Get Down feels quite abstract to me. The choices we made when writing the song were very different to what I’d normally do and I felt very adventurous. I really wanted to do the same thing for the video and I had so much fun on set. I love how it turned out.”
“Get Down is about the idea that I’ve come so far now, I have to keep going, it’s too late to stop what I’m doing now,” Budjerah explained of the meaning behind the song. “If there’s a way, please show me how,” he sings on the track, a spiritual plea amidst a song suffused with an ultramodern atmosphere. “That song took a while to figure out, just because it was so different compared to what we’ve done before – but then, like one day, I think it just clicked.”
This May and June, the 20-year-old singer songwriter will perform across England and France before kicking off a run of dates in North America. For the full list of tour dates, click HERE.
