“When I wrote love me back I was speaking from the perspective of anyone who ever loved someone, but didn’t get the same love back,” says Trinidad. “I want people who have experienced this confusion to be able to have the courage to say ‘Okay I like you, but if you actually love me then love me back!’”
With an album from Trinidad, he is working hard on creating timeless songs that capture the richness of the world around him, as well as the one he’s forged within himself. Drawing inspiration from ’80s and ’90s R&B and reggae, the singer, dancer and rapper is poised to become one of pop’s greatest new chameleons.
“I’ve been very lucky in life,” he says. “I’m so excited for people to hear everything I’ve been cooking. I want to revolutionize society and I have a bunch of crazy ideas, but right now I want to show off my music.”
