Speaking on how the collaboration came about, A-Trak shared, “Whenever I notice that I’m playing a lot of tracks by someone in my sets, I end up wanting to collaborate with them. That’s what happened with Illyus & Barrientos. During lockdown we started trading demos back and forth, looking for something new to make together. The song that ended up being ‘Together At Last’ was stripped bare and reinvented a few times. I love that we ended up keeping the essence of the idea, just a catchy bass line and a heartfelt vocal primed for the dance floor.”
