Cleveland born, Denver based genre defying artist, Willy P has released his summery new single, “Louie”. The track, which can be heard now below, not only explores the feeling of being in love, but also finds Willy P building self-love. The feel-good anthem arrives just in time for summer.
Taking inspiration from a multitude of places, Willy P delivers a three dimensional song, the first dimension diving into the experience of loving another, “being free, weightless, and in the moment,” says Willy P. In the second, Willy P practices positive self-talk and boosting his own confidence, supported with melodic bars like “Limit the thoughts no overthinking / F*** their opinions and their reasons / cause when you’re winning they didn’t mean them.”
The third dimension sees the track’s title come from the pure and youthful love and loyalty that he shared with his dog that he grew up with, Louie. “My childhood dog Louie passed away soon after the completion of the song. To me, he is a symbol of all things good. He was loving, loyal, and committed. All of the things I hope to be, ” he says.
