Rising singer, songwriter, and producer Yot Club has dropped his new single, “off the grid”, the title track from his debut album, out June 10th via amuse. The buoyant track speaks to the emotional exhaustion caused by boredom and desperately needing a change of pace. Listen to it now below and pre-order off the grid HERE.
“I made this song in my last couple of months living in Mississippi” Yot Club explained, “I was living in a house with 6 people and I was really sick of it. I was also tired of the monotony of the town I was in and ready to be somewhere else.”
Yot Club’s forthcoming album was written during his move from Mississippi to Nashville and inspired by the patterns of individuals living in a small town. While many ache for a desire to explore the art and beauty of the world around us, people in these areas face a lack of opportunity and an illusion of camaraderie which results in longlasting mental and physical effects as they seek escapism. Experiencing this first hand during a time of unease, Ryan Kaiser (who creates music as Yot Club) instead focused on his excitement for the future in creating off the grid. His most vulnerable and honest music to date, the expansive collection of lo-fi indie pop songs convey the intense uncertainty we face alongside the thrills of excitement, transformation, and possibility.
Following the release of the album, Yot Club will hit the road supporting Penelope Scott before joining Vansire for a string of tour dates. Tickets are on sale HERE and the full routing is listed below.
