LA-based artist and producer Synova has released his new single “You Changed Your Hair” today. The song is taken from his just-announced debut album, Look For The Good In Others, set for release on August 5th on bitbird. Listen to the new song now below.
Inspired by a variety of artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, Porter Robinson, The 1975, and Skrillex, Synova’s music is a unique blend of punk, pop, and electronic music. His latest releases on bitbird, “Factions” and “You Changed Your Hair”, show Synova using his voice more while also incorporating many more live instruments, serving as a preview of the new sound Synova is delving into with his upcoming album.
“‘You Changed Your Hair’ is about all of the immediate feelings you have after exiting a long relationship. It’s the amalgamation of sadness, nostalgia, anger, and inward anxieties all coming out at once. At the end of the process though, you gain independence & eventually organize your thoughts to move on.” Synova explained of the song.
Synova is set to perform at bitbird’s San Diego show at NOVA on July 8th, alongside San Holo, Pauline Herr, and Tsu Nami.
