Alt-pop artist Layto has released his new single “Lost It” in collaboration with 23-year old TikTok musical sensation Jaymmac. The anthemic new track showcases Layto’s unique blend of alt-rock and hip-hop with wet guitar and 808s. Watch an accompanying video now below.

Layto wrote “Lost It” on the back of an unpaid parking ticket after getting in a fight with his girlfriend. The instrumentation was done via a collaborative Zoom session with longtime producer Matt Boda, with the inspiration coming from listening to ZillaKami’s most recent album DOG BOY. “We wanted a female feature for the second verse to help further tell the story of the fight from the female perspective,” says Layto. “After stumbling across Jaymmac’s TikTok on my FYP, she felt like the perfect fit. We loved her voice and vibe.”

Layto was born and raised in Boston. Being the youngest of five, in the midst of family turmoil and dysfunction, music became an escape. Layto independently released his debut Low Boy EP in 2018 featuring the single “Little Poor Me,” which has over 50 million streams worldwide. With over 150M total streams to date, Layto has an intensity about his style, delivery and blending of alt rock, pop, and hip/hop elements. His music has given a voice to the millions who suffer from anxiety and depression.
