Minneapolis-based producer and songwriter Nathan Stocker has announced his latest solo project under the moniker Brotherkenzie. Out August 26th, the new album, NATHAN finds him paring infectious power pop with existential dread, lending a sharp edge to radical honesty.
Today, Brotherkenzie gave listeners a sneak peek of the album with his new single, “GET ON IT”, which can be heard now below. The self-critical bop’s line “big black box” comes to life on the album’s cover as a physical manifestation of the narcissism he explores lyrically.
Stocker wrote the 12 new songs on NATHAN between March and November 2020, recording and producing the entire album with friend and Baby Boys collaborator Caleb Hinz in Minneapolis, MN in between sold out world tours with his other projects. This marks Stocker’s third full length release as Brotherkenzie and follows 2020’s BIG WHAT.
This fall, Stocker will embark on his debut tour as Brotherkenzie for midwest dates in September with more to be announced. Tickets are available HERE.
