Nashville-based singer and songwriter Stephen Sanchez has announced that his highly-anticipated upcoming EP, Easy On My Eyes will be out on August 5th via Mercury Records/Republic Records. The album is available to pre-order/pre-save HERE.
Stephen recently shared the 1950’s-inspired music video for his breakthrough viral smash “Until I Found You”. Last night, he took the stage on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for a show-stopping performance of the song, which was inspired by Elvis Presley’s iconic 1968 “Comeback Special” and resulted in a standing ovation from the studio audience.
On Easy On My Eyes, Stephen says, “If my bones were emotions, it’s my entire skeletal frame ripped out for all to see; my best and most vulnerable work to date.” He continues, “I wanted this record to feel a lot more personal than anything I’d done before. Naming it ‘easy on MY eyes’ rather than the well known ‘you are easy on THE eyes’ phrasing, feels like I’m directing it towards the people I wrote the record for. This record is all over the place. Thematically it’s all cohesive, but sonically it’s as if you’re listening to three different records within the 25 minutes.”
Stephen is set to perform co-headline shows with Em Beihold across the UK and Europe next month, as well as a headline EP release show at Nashville’s The Basement East on August 4th. Check out the upcoming dates HERE.
