Minneapolis-based producer and songwriter Brotherkenzie has released “DIE BROKE“, the second single from his upcoming album, NATHAN, out August 26th. The track finds Brotherkenzie (aka Nathan Stocker) grappling with a nihilistic outlook: if people can’t take their things with them, they may as well die broke.
NATHAN is available for pre-order now HERE.
On NATHAN, Stocker fearlessly explores what would happen if you listen to, and obey, your demons, if you lean into heathen ideals, if you turn toward self-loathing. The result is catharsis, an observant account of growing a new self. Stocker wrote the 12 new songs on NATHAN between March and November 2020, recording and producing the entire album with friend and Baby Boys collaborator Caleb Hinz in Minneapolis, MN in between sold out world tours with his other projects. This marks Stocker’s third full length release as Brotherkenzie and follows 2020’s BIG WHAT.
This fall, Stocker will embark on a string of dates in the midwest in September as Brotherkenzie with more to be announced. Tickets can be found HERE.
