North Carolina singer Nick Bonin has released his emotional, genre-blurring new single, “In My Head” today via Masked Records/Warner Records. The angsty track finds Bonin blending acoustic melodies with gritty pop-punk and rap elements. Watch the accompanying video now below.
Driven by a tense guitar riff that underscores Bonin’s admission that the weight he is carrying on his chest makes it hard to breathe, the track is the perfect follow-up to May’s “Next Time It’s Too Late”. “My heart’s made of steel, but my brain leaves me broken,” Bonin sings, underscoring the sound of turmoil and emotional conflict.
