Indie rock artist Michigander has released his new single, “Stay Out Of It” via C3 Records. Co-written by Michigander mastermind Jason Singer and Danen Reed Rector (Charlotte Sands, James Droll) along with bandmates Aaron Senor and Jake LeMond and produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Phoenix, M83), “Stay Out Of It” can be heard now below.
“‘Stay Out Of It’ is a song about speaking up and saying how you feel even when sometimes it’s best to keep quiet,” shares Singer. “I’m really bad at playing my cards close to the chest. I’m a chronic over-sharer, and this track is all about that feeling.”
“I made this video in LA with the incredible Johnny Chew and focused on a narrative of being comfortable with the inevitable,” he adds about the music video. “It’s a theme that has stuck in my brain for a while – the mentality that we can’t let ‘the end’ dictate what we do today. Can’t let ‘death’ keep us from living our life.”
Alongside the new single, Michigander has also announced a fall headlining tour launching October 13th in Little Rock ahead of the band’s performance at Weekend 2 of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The It Will Never Be The Same Tour, featuring special guest Abby Holliday, will stop in 20 cities across the U.S.
