Alt-pop four piece, The Beaches have released their new single, “Grow Up Tomorrow.” The track, which is carried by high tempo percussion and energetic guitar perfectly embodies what it feels like to be young, carefree and reckless.
The accompanying music video, directed by Ievy Stamatov, depicts a hazy, late night, no-boys-allowed party scene complete with red solo cups, glittery eyeshadow, and a view through rose-colored glasses. Of the video, the group explained, “Since the song is such a fun bop we wanted to represent it in the only way we know how: by throwing a house party with all of our closest friends. I’ve recently come into my own in the queer community (Leandra), who have welcomed me with open arms, so I wanted to make sure we represented this new, big part of my life in the video.”
The Beaches are currently on a North American tour that culminates with two hometown Toronto shows. They’ve already played sold out shows across the country including Corona Theatre (Montreal, QC), London Music Hall (London, ON) and two sold out shows at the famous Commodore in Vancouver, BC.
