Pop star, MAX has released his vibrant, catchy as hell new single “WASABI” today via Warner Records. The track, drenched in soulful suaveness, boasts a funk-inflected beat and showcases the musician’s dazzling vocal delivery.
Like “GUCCI BAG” before it, “WASABI” marks a bold, new direction for MAX, who made his major-label debut with the Gold-certified stripped-back ballad “Butterflies.” On his new single, he embraces the possibilities of polished vintage production, throwback rhythms, and sexy, tongue-in-cheek wordplay. “This is one of the most energetic and fun songs I’ve ever been able to put out,” he says. “I hope people dance and feel their absolute spiciest to it.”
This new run of singles follows the singer/songwriter’s critically acclaimed Colour Vision album. His experimental approach and innate knack for pop hooks resulted in more than 1.5 billion streams as an independent artist. Now, with audacious tracks like “WASABI” and “GUCCI BAG,” MAX is proving he’s ready to become a staple on dance-floors everywhere.
MAX recently announced an extensive run of North American tour dates. Dates can be found now below and tickets are available now HERE.
