Ska punk-rock icons Goldfinger have released a deluxe version of their critically acclaimed 2020 album, Never Look Back today. The collection includes four brand new songs co-written with Travis Barker along with re-recordings of “99 Red Balloons,” “Superman” and “Here In Your Bedroom.”
The new version of “Here In Your Bedroom” found the band teaming up with John Feldmann’s frequent collaborator and friend, international superstar Avril Lavigne, while “Superman” features Simon Neil of Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro. Both songs, as well as “99 Red Balloons” also feature Travis Barker on drums.
Formed in 1994, Goldfinger has been credited as a major contributor to the revitalization of ska music’s popularity in the mid-1990s before leading the charge in the 2000s pop-punk movement. Outside of their music, the band has always been active and outspoken about a variety of political and social issues, especially animal rights.
