Singer, songwriter, and actor Joshua Bassett has returned with his emotional new single, “Smoke Slow” today. Vulnerable and bare, the track delicately details the woes of an out-of-reach romance, accompanied by a pensive video, which features Michael Cimino (Love, Victor) and Ilia Wayans, which was co-directed by Mikey Murphy and Bassett.
About the song, Bassett explains, “This song is about savoring those moments together with a person you feel close to, but know you can’t be with. Since I couldn’t say it aloud, of course, I had to write a song about it – ha!”
Joshua Bassett will perform in Toronto on September 9 before playing a two-night stand at Bowery Ballroom in New York on September 12th and 13th. He will also headline two nights at The Troubadour in Los Angeles on October 16th and 17th. Find all show dates below and HERE.
