WHOKILLEDXIX have released their gritty new single, “ANXIETY” via Masked Records/Warner Records. The new track finds the Connecticut-bred duo, comprised of Karm The Tool and Yung Skayda digging deep emotionally for a vulnerable yet high-energy release. It’s the kind of unfiltered, stream-of-consciousness punk energy that makes WHOKILLEDXIX one of 2022’s most welcome breakouts. Listen to it now below.
“ANXIETY” is taken from the duo’s upcoming album, PULLBACK out October 28th. Pre-save the album now HERE.
“ANXIETY” arrives just weeks after “ATTENTION!,” a rebellion against judgment centering around the simple proclamation: “I don’t want your attention.” Ironically, WHOKILLEDXIX are garnering plenty of it as 2022 goes on. An early teaser for the track garnered over 175K views before its release, demonstrating the powerful connection they’ve already forged with fans in the few years they’ve been issuing these soul-bearing tracks. The duo released their EP LORE, Vol. 1 in April, which follows in the footsteps of EPs Fall Damage (2021) and 19 (2020) — the latter of which is home to smash hits such as “spy?” and “Kismet.”
With “ANXIETY,” WHOKILLEDXIX confirm their status as genre-bending rulebreakers, who aren’t afraid of laying themselves bare and sharing their innermost fears and insecurities.
