Up-and-coming indie-rock band, Parrotfish have released their new EP, Something’s In The Milk today via Lowly. The new five-track EP includes previously released singles, “Coolest Taste In Clothes”, “Everyone Else”, and “Witch Slap” as well as two previously unreleased tracks “Drugs” and “There For You”. Listen to it now below.
The EP is about connection with people. The lead single “Coolest Taste In Clothes” is about a connection with a lover, “Witch Slap” is about a connection with religion and the supernatural, “There for You” is about a connection with friends and family, “Everyone Else” is about feeling disconnected from everyone and “Drugs” is about using substance to disconnect from life or try to connect with others at a party. Driving the theme of connection home, Parrotfish teamed up with duo, Foreign Air, who produced and had a huge role in the album. “They pushed us out of our comfort zone and created synth sounds that are apparent through the whole EP,” says Parrotfish.
The band added, “The title Something’s In The Milk came from us thinking all these songs were very different but somehow had something tying them together. What that something is you’ll have to find out for yourself by taking a deep dive into the milk.”
