Auckland alt-pop brother duo, Balu Brigada have released their new EP, I Should Be Home today. Marking their first release via Atlantic Records/Warner Music Australia, the new EP follows their 2019 Almost Feels Good mixtape and finds the duo expanding on their diverse sound even more.
According to the brothers, the EP, “embodies the overarching metaphor of a night out. It details the blurry experiences of growing into your own skin as a twenty-something year old. Revisiting messy break-ups and drunken epiphanies, ‘I Should Be Home’ recalls the sugar rush of the start of the party, and the sobering realization that the fun has worn off, and it’s time to call it a night.”
Balu Brigada are a self-described “groove-pop” duo composed of multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter/producer brothers from New Zealand, Henry and Pierre Beasley. Balu Brigada are true musicians and all about experimentation, inspired by genre-mashing musical giants such as Gorillaz and Frank Ocean.
