MIDDLESPOON have released their new dance-inspired pop anthem, “Bon Bon Boy” today. The accompanying music video, which can be seen now below, perfectly complements the track’s sensual tone and harmony filled chorus. Set amidst a neon backdrop with flashing club lights, the video displays a seductive dance party with full routines to match.
“This song speaks to the anticipation we all get for the weekend after a long week,” described lead vocalist Alexander Beatz. “Not just any time off, mind you. The weekend where we say “hell no” to the mundane and “hell yes” to the freedom of the night adorned in our best and brightest fits. The weekend you finally get to dance with that cutie you’ve been unable to get off your mind. Sensual, primal and fun driven, ‘Bon Bon Boy’ is a hypnotic adventure through the best clubbing weekend imaginable.”
“Bon Bon Boy” marks the follow up to MIDDLESPOON’s August release “Crush On U,” which had fans grooving through the summer and was hailed by the likes of Mxdwn as an “overall fun; no-holds-barred song.” Telling the familiar tale of a new summertime infatuation, the track and its music video were set across a beach, a classroom, and high school football game, revealing the classic school crush and young love story. Evoking pop-disco, R&B and house sensibilities, the track marked the first collaboration with MIDDLESPOON and renowned mixer Tony Hoffer (Fitz and The Tantrums, Beck, Chromeo, M83, Phoenix, and Foster the People) and mastering engineer Chris Gehringer of Sterling Sound (OneRepublic, Rosalia, Lil Nas X and Dua Lipa.)
