Power-pop chameleon Jake Wesley Rogers has returned with his new single, “Hindsight”, taken from Billy Eichner’s new film, Bros. Pulsating piano and dynamic percussion set the tone for this feel-good take on the age-old adage: “hindsight is 20/20.” Listen to it now below.
“My new song ‘Hindsight’ is very special to me, especially since it will be the end title track in Billy Eichner’s historic new film, Bros—the first gay rom-com made by a major motion picture studio,” Rogers says of the new single. “I wrote it with my go-to collaborator Justin Tranter, as well as the producer Jason Gill. It’s about looking back at the past and longing to make the future better, by actually living and loving (and dancing) to your fullest potential.”
“Hindsight” arrives soon after the singles “Modern Love” and “Lavender Forever.” However, these releases offer just a glimpse of Rogers’ wild and wonderful 2022, which has included a performance at WeHo Pride’s OUTLOUD Raising Voices Music Festival, a guest judge role on HBO’s Legendary, and appearing on the covers of FASHION Magazine and The Advocate Magazine. Not to mention, he’s currently on tour with Panic! At the Disco and will hit the stage at Austin City Limits next weekend.
