Self-proclaimed “sensitive-pop” artist Lulu Simon has released her brand-new EP, Muscle Memory today. The EP features five brand new songs perfect for screaming at the top of your lungs alone in your car, including the quintessential girls night anthem, “All In.” Listen to the EP below.
Speaking on “All In” Lulu shares, “I wrote ‘All In’ because I needed a song that wasn’t about being sad or hurt, but that wasn’t about anything but having fun with your friends. Deeply inspired by Kim Petras’ “I Don’t Want It At All”, All In is about serving looks and attitude and getting everything you want.”
Muscle Memory outlines what Lulu would describe as a snapshot of her experience of going through the stages of grief after losing a relationship. Her single “Being Alone is the Best”- an acoustic, yet bold track about her experiences feeling isolated as a new Angelino – kicked off this new autobiographical collection of music she wrote over the pandemic lockdown.
To celebrate off the release of Muscle Memory, Lulu hosted a release party at Star Love in Los Angeles, CA. The release party was sponsored by June Shine Hard Kombucha and was DJed by Matt Bennett. You can check out pictures from the release party here.
