UK based punk band, The Young Hearts have released the video for their upcoming comeback single, “The Way Back” today. The track, available to pre-save here, follows their debut album, The Modern State, released in January 2021 and subsequent twelve-month hiatus. Watch the video and listen to the track now below.
Speaking about ‘The Way Back’, singer Craig Lawrence says, “A year ago, The Young Hearts were done. Through a culmination of the pandemic and the twists and turns of growing up, it was clear for long term guitarist Aaron, and drummer AJ that they could no longer continue pursuing a dream that was taking its toll on other aspects of their life. To persevere with the band after losing half your family just didn’t feel like the right thing to do. So in the summer of 2021, just six months after releasing their debut album, The Young Hearts were set to call it a day. However, it was a matter of weeks before we realised the dream didn’t have to be lost. There were new songs written, songs that we felt pushed our sound into a more exciting and ambitious arena. We needed to start building again from the ground up, so we brought in two members Conor and Joe who shared the vision and passion The Young Hearts had always felt. ‘The Way Back’ is the first single off our sophomore release, and it’s a song about starting again, and realising that a dream doesn’t have to be about the achievement at the end, but just the importance of the pursuit and the enjoyment along the way.”
