Genre-defying artist Gwyn Love and Toronto producer La+ch are back with the latest track in the collaboration series, “pttrn“. The track, which follows previous collabs, “good luck rly” and “luv 2 the beat”, is accompanied by a stunning visual, which can be seen now below.
“This was one of our top three favorite songs that La+ch and I made together,” Gwyn shares. “This song is emotional for me. This was the breaking point and the realization that no matter what I did, I couldn’t break the pattern of cheating that had happened with the people before and now me. He swore he could never do that to me, but in the end, the pattern continued. I knew it was time for me to leave and quit hoping I could fix it some how.”
Already known as an emerging voice with a punk mentality and electronic-pop vibe, Gwyn Love has been hard at work on new material with an eclectic variety of sounds — drawing from their recent move from their hometown in Oklahoma to the bright lights of Los Angeles. Their genre-defying approach and honest lyricism has been the main factor setting Gwyn apart from the pack. As a creative deeply invested in every aspect of their sound, and what they put out to the musical world, it’s their songwriting, they maintain, that makes their music special and different.
Gwyn Love began to roll out their new series of collaborations with Toronto producer La+ch earlier this summer. The infectious “luv 2 the beat” was the electro-dance follow up to punk leaning “good luck rly.” An instant hit with fans, “good luck rly” captivated listeners, taking the best from electro, pop, and punk to create a modern twist of the early ’00 pop-punk sound that raised millennial and gen-z music lovers.
