Manchester-based producer, Frameworks has teamed up with Australian vocalist, Cleopold for their emotive new masterpiece, “BLUE LIGHT” today. Carried by nostalgic keyboard and angelic vocals, the ethereal, emotionally moving track encourages focus on your momentary feeling, and enjoying that moment through a transcendental atmosphere. Listen to it now below.
The song is accompanied by a breathtaking music video directed by Alexander Bather and Cameron Ward. Shot in North Wales and Manchester, the Bonnie and Clyde-style video complements the song’s sumptuous sound with beautiful, landscape-driven cinematography. The gorgeous scenery is then paired with a gritty crime tale full of heart-tugging emotion and endearing characters.
Of the song, Frameworks said, “Whilst writing ‘BLUE LIGHT’ I really wanted to evoke the feeling of movement. The driving chords and the repetition really draws my mind to driving at night. I was inspired to write something that felt contemplative, purposeful and elegant. I sent the idea to Cleopold and he sent back a few ideas that just lifted the track and he just nailed the vibe.”
Cleopold added, “Frameworks and I linked up via email and chatted about our musical interests and ambitions. I recorded the vocals for ‘BLUE LIGHT’ at my studio in north Melbourne and wrote the title after walking in the city seeing all the colourful lights reflecting over the Yarra river water at night. The rest fell into place and we toured the U.S. together during the summer of 2022 without any rehearsals and it felt effortless and breezy. That’s when we knew ‘Blue Light’ might be a winner.”
