Trendsetting K-Pop group, NCT DREAM have released their winter special mini album, Candy, digitally via SM Entertainment today. The physical album will be released Monday, December 19th. In the meantime, the music video for “Candy” can be seen now below.
The six-track special album features title track “Candy,” a remake of K-Pop boy group H.O.T.’s breakthrough hit, which is one of the most recognizable ‘90s classic hits in Korea. Hitmaker KENZIE (Girls’ Generation, NCT, SUPER JUNIOR) helped reinterpret the track into NCT DREAM’s own colours, allowing first-time listeners to enjoy a classic hit while also evoking nostalgia across all generations.
With Glitch Mode, their second full-length album released earlier this year, NCT DREAM marked their second ‘triple million seller’ status in a row, and topped various global music charts. The group also held their second concert at Jamsil Sports Complex Olympic Stadium, known for being the largest concert venue in Korea, and received an explosive response from an offline and online audience of over 135,000 in 102 regions during two days. Continuing the group’s success, this album will be a special gift from NCT DREAM to fans as a thanks for all the generous love shown throughout 2022.
MARK participated in the lyrics for mid-tempo pop track “입김 (Take My Breath)” with lyrics telling the story of one confessing a love they can’t keep hidden any longer, just like the frosty breath that seeps out in to the cold winter air.
Groovy dance number “발자국 (Walk With You)” expresses the excitement one feels on the way to meeting a lover and harks back to their first mini album and the track “같은 시간 같은 자리 (Walk you home)” – where NCT DREAM keep to the promise of meeting again at two o’clock. Other tracks include dreamy R&B pop track “Graduation,” retro synth-pop number “Tangerine Love (Favorite)” and sweet ballad “문 (Moon).”
MARK, RENJUN, JENO, HAECHAN, JAEMIN, CHENLE, and JISUNG recently held their second concert at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium. This is their second headline concert in just six years since their debut, held on Korea’s largest concert hall. The concert was filmed for NCT DREAM THE MOVIE: In A DREAM which was broadcast simultaneously at cinemas worldwide last month, including several theatres across the United States.
