Caye Shares Debut Album, “We Love”

    By Dom VigilFebruary 3, 2023
    Caye We Love

LA-based artist/producer/songwriter, Caye (pronounced KAI), has released his debut album, We Love today. Written and produced almost entirely by Caye himself, We Love reflects Caye’s own experiences as a creative and as a person. The album shines a light on Caye’s true abilities as he wrote, performed, and produced every record on the project. Caye blurs genre lines with an emphasis on creativity and musicianship on this record. He feels at home singing over wavy didgeridoo lines, sultry piano, and rock inspired production, but it’s the lyrics, themes, and genre-less blend of influences that truly capture who he’s evolved into as an artist today.

Caye also shares the final track from the album, “WE LOVE PT. 2.” The laid back grooves of the track serve as the perfect backdrop for the lyrics that touch on unconditional love. “‘WE LOVE PT. 2’ is about unconditional love. In a world riddled with so much judgment, this song offers the idea that we are all different, we are all individuals, and that is what makes us beautiful,” explains Caye. “Gay, straight, old, young, white, black, asian, we are all connected by love, and at the end of the day, that connection is all that matters. We all share the same earth, we are all humans, we all love. At the very least, I feel confident that everyone has this in common.”

Caye is also gearing up for his first ever headlining tour. Kicking off next month in Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 1st at The Moroccan Lounge, the tour will visit 10 cities across the US including San Diego, CA, Seattle, WA, Washington, DC and New York, NY before wrapping in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, April 1st at Milkboy. We Love was written with Caye envisioning himself on stage, playing all of it live. Through these shows, Caye will be putting together a fully immersive show so fans will get the chance to experience the album in the way it was meant to be heard.
