K-Pop heavyweights, TWICE have announced that their new mini album, READY TO BE will be out via all DSPs on Friday, March 10th. Pre-orders for the album are now live HERE.
It was also announced this week that TWICE will be honored at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards with the Breakthrough Award; they are the first K-Pop act to be honored at this ceremony. These announcements follow the successful pre-release of READY TO BE track “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” on January 20th, which debuted at #84 on the Billboard Hot 100. TWICE also earned career high-placements on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart (#3) and both Spotify’s US Chart (#39) and Global Chart (#60). Further, the track’s music video achieved 32 million views in just three days and was the #1 Global Trend on YouTube.
TWICE is heading into the new year strong, following what was a massive, record-breaking 2022. Last year, the group was the most-streamed female K-Pop group on Spotify (US), and they are also the longest-charting female K-Pop act on Spotify’s US Daily Top Artist chart. Last year alone, they accumulated nearly 300 million steams (with cumulative streams of over 5.5 billion, to date). They were also nominated for three major music awards in 2022 – an MTV Video Music Award for “Best K-Pop,” an American Music Award for “Favorite K-Pop Artist,” and an MTV Europe Music Award for “Best K-Pop.”
