Singer, songwriter, and producer BoyWithUke has released a brand-new single, “Rockstar” today via Mercury Records/Republic Records. The track arrives alongside a music video, which cana be seen now belo.
On the new song, BoyWithUke, who self produced the song, said, “This song is about the struggles I’ve had being BoyWithUke. BoyWithUke has become bigger than just me, which creates conflict between who I am and who BoyWithUke is. Rockstar is this conflict written out in the form of a song.”
The song’s music video was shot in Toronto and directed by Kevin Lien. In addition, the song lands in the wake of “Sick Of U” feat. Oliver Tree. It has generated over 43 million Spotify streams and 17 million YouTube views on the music video. Meanwhile, Genius predicted, “‘Sick Of U’ signifies a new chapter for the artist.”
