Ghanaian-Canadian rapper, singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Kofi have announced his new EP, Just To Piss You Off, out March 24th. In celebration of the announcement, Kofi has released his newest single, “Mine” featuring fellow Canadian rapper, Boslen. The track follows previous tracks, the sultry single, “Uninvited” and the afro-R&B release, “I’m Yours.”
Speaking on the song, Kofi shares, “’Mine’ is a toxic song about the wrong girl. Someone you want but is clearly no good for you.”
Launching alongside the single, the music video for “Mine” paints a picture of what happens when old flames, alcohol, and unrequited love mix. In a sultry bar scene that triggers old memories, Kofi knows what’s best for him but feelings die hard.
The Toronto scene-shaper recently appeared at Red Bull’s AlphaTauri event during New York Fashion Week, in celebration of the brand’s fashion line introducing its AW23 collection alongside the unveil of the livery for its new Formula 1 car, the AT04. Adding “style icon” to his profile in addition to 38 million global career streams and collaborations with acts from 2KBABY to Pressa, it’s no doubt that Kofi is at the top of his game.
