Dallas alt-pop trio little image unveiled “BALLET”, the latest single to be lifted from their upcoming debut album, SELF TITLED out May 12 via Hollywood Records. From introspective verses to the band’s signature atmospheric sound and catchy chorus, “BALLET” is a reflective portrayal of one’s inner struggle with body image, and has all the makings of an alternative rock smash. Listen to the track now below.
About the song the band reflected, “BALLET is a raw look into our own and our culture’s struggle with self image. We are constantly comparing and asking ourselves why we look the way we do, looking in the mirror and finding a deep longing to see something that is different from who we are. We hope this song can encourage people to love themselves beyond the ideology we have instilled in our brains that we must look a certain way, and remember nobody else can be you other than you.”
SELF TITLED, produced in partnership with Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, 5 Seconds Of Summer) includes previously released, fan-favorite tracks, “LUNGS BURN,” “WORTH IT,” “EGO,” “BLUE,” and the punchy declaration of love, “OUT OF MY MIND.” The latter premiered on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation and is currently featured in an ad running on Hulu.
Throughout a near-decade, little image morphed from a group of perpetually online suburban teens who were obsessed with underground indie rock and had no idea what they wanted to be into the tight-knit outfit you see today. Made up of Jackson Simmons (vocals/guitar), Brandon Walters (bass/synth) and Troy Bruner (drums), the trio truly blossomed during 2020’s lockdown.
SELF TITLED is more than just a collection of 13 songs — it’s an actual album, deliberately sequenced to tell a story of self-doubt, self-reflection and eventually, self-love. But while the album is a document of its three members’ lives to this point, little image hopes to use it to connect with people across the globe.
The group is currently on a U.S. tour opening for Colony House through April, full dates below. Tickets are on sale now, buy HERE. Full dates below. The band blew audiences away opening for Panic! At The Disco and playing a headline show at Los Angeles’ The Moroccan Lounge last year. Live, they are stadium-ready, bringing a fully realized experience – sonically and visually – to any room they play, no matter the size.
