Rising singer-songwriter, Rowan Drake has returned with his new single, “Would You Do It Again?” today. Arriving alongside a new music video, the track was written by Rowan Drake and cowritten with Eric Leva (Iggy Azalea, DNCE) and Davin Kingston (John Legend). Listen to it now below.
“Would you do it again?” is a question I asked my last love close to the end of our relationship,” Rowan Drake explains, “She paused for just a little too long and said with all the pain she’s experienced along the way she honestly just didn’t know if she would. That answer coming from someone who had given and sacrificed so much for me was a very conflicted and painful moment. It led to the creation of this song and I hope you can find a little peace in its words.”
“Would You Do It Again?” follows a growing string of vulnerable songs from the gifted singer-songwriter including “Elephant In The Room” – named to Rolling Stone’s “Songs You Need to Know” roundup – “Hollow,” “2 People, “Abandonment Issues,” and “Hey Little Sister.” Rowan has also already earned applause from Billboard who named “Abandonment Issues” to their “10 Cool New Pop Songs,” writing, “Drake’s feathery vocal approach, paired here with meaty guitar strums and canned strings, yield a surprisingly affecting declaration that doesn’t lose any luster on replay listens.” With just a handful of releases under his belt, Rowan has earned over 13 million global streams, 4.6 million likes on TikTok, and 1 million official YouTube views.
