LA-based producer and singer-songwriter helloworld is back with his new single, “wasted” via bitbird today. Following his previous single, “call me up” featuring Sajan Nauriyal, the powerful track draws inspiration from a heart-wrenching breakup, delving into the feeling of hitting rock bottom and the desire to escape and experience something new. Ultimately, the song serves as a poignant reminder that letting go and moving on can often be the best course of action.
The song came together in a writing session with Throttle and Conro, helloworld shares, “We were just messing around with samples and chords and all of a sudden when we laid down some guitar I immediately started singing the chorus. Sometimes songs just come effortlessly and I believe that when that happens it’s something trying to get out – like your subconscious is trying to tell you something”.
From the very beginning of his career, helloworld has refused to be constrained by genre labels, consistently pushing the boundaries with his unique and innovative approach to music. With “wasted,” helloworld continues this trend, delivering another captivating addition to his already impressive discography. The single further cements his reputation as a rising star in the industry, showcasing his talent and creativity in full force.
