LA-based producer, helloworld has released his new single, “am i right?“, taken from his upcoming EP, things i wanna text u. The new track, which follows “call me up” and “wasted” explores the emotions of self-doubt and resentment caused by a toxic relationship. The song is a reflection of the internal conflict that arises when someone you trust makes you question everything about yourself.
Speaking about the new single, helloworld shares, “The name of this song was the question looping in my head for months – ‘am i right?’ I found myself in a situation where someone important in my life was making me question everything about myself. Constantly wondering if there’s something wrong with me, shining light on my flaws – some real, some unreal. The constant circling in my head that this person was causing was endlessly tiring, and I tried to express that through this song. ‘am i right?’ kinda marked a point where I was feeling resentment toward this person.”
things i wanna text u is a five-track EP that takes listeners on a powerful journey through the aftermath of a relationship. Each song tells a unique story about the complexities of moving on after a breakup, exploring the raw emotions and challenges of heartbreak.
